Competency test - CES
The Crew Evaluation System (CES) is an online assessment tool for evaluating seafarers' knowledge, helping identify training needs. Based on STCW standards, it includes over 5,000 multiple-choice questions. It supports recruitment, crew assessment, and promotion planning.
Notes:
- Engine Officers must score at least 70% overall.
- Deck Officers must score at least 70% overall, with 70% in the Navigation section as a minimum.
- Negative marking is only applied for critically incorrect answers that may jeopardise safety.
